The company
The estate extends for about thirty hectares in the Siculiana countryside in the province of Agrigento in the Calua district in front of the Torre Salsa nature reserve . In the olive grove there are 1,549 over ten-year plants with varieties of Coratina , Biancolilla , Nocellara del Belice , Giarratana and Cerasuola . Our olives , cold pressed, produce both a "pure" oil and a " Blend ". The phases of cultivation, harvesting, milling, storage and bottlingof the oil are all carried out strictly following the standards dictated by Community legislation on organic production.

Sicilian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
In recent decades in Italy the sale of organic olive oil has been very successful. The favor with which the public has welcomed the production of organic food is certainly due to the very high quality standards of Sicilian extra virgin olive oil which, thanks to its quality, the need to bring to our tables foods that are healthy and obtained through natural methods is increasing more and more.
The products and, in the case that concerns us more closely, the oil olives obtained with organic farming, in fact, boast a primacy from the point of view of hygiene and health, first of all, but also excel for the nutritional contents and for the organoleptic profile.
Definition of organic olive oil
According to the law, in order for an olive oil to be sold as organic olive oil it must be obtained from a minimum percentage of 95% (value referred to weight) of olives produced with organic farming. Organic olives, to be considered as such, must be obtained without any use of pesticides (the famous pesticides) or chemical fertilizers. The goal of this practice consists not only in wanting to guarantee higher quality standards and in providing a more natural and less artificial diet, so to speak, but also in the desire not to produce negative effects or damage to the environment while protecting fertility. of land through the use of natural and organic fertilizers.
It goes without saying that so-called genetically modified organisms are explicitly banned from organic farming (since 1991), which represents a further form of guarantee of the healthiness of organic products. Sicilian extra virgin olive oil is already famous in itself for its high content of Vitamin E and antioxidants, agents responsible for an effective anti-aging and countering free radicals, but these values rise significantly significant when Sicilian organic extra virgin olive oil is sold. Even if the percentages can differ quite sensibly according to the olive cultivar used, Sicilian extra virgin olive oil is notoriously a healthy and very popular food as it is characterized by high digestibility and since it strengthens the defenses of our body against heart and vascular diseases (such as arterial hypertension) and liver diseases.
Sicilian organic extra virgin olive oil is suitable for those who love good food, as it can be used on very different types of dishes. In fact, it will enhance the taste of your first courses but also of second courses, whether they are based on meat, vegetables or fish, fried or grilled, and will adapt perfectly to the dressing of salads, appetizers and desserts.
